Does your child understand Ukrainian but rarely speak it?

Illustration

This is common among children growing up in multilingual environments. Ukrainian remains familiar and understandable but gradually becomes a passive language.

    responds in another language

mixes Ukrainian with the language spoken around them

    feels shy about speaking

struggles to communicate freely with relatives

Through interactive activities, play, and topics that match their interests, children gradually gain the confidence to communicate in Ukrainian.

Hi! I’m Nataliia, and I love bringing creativity and curiosity into every lesson. I’ve been teaching Ukrainian to children and adults for about 10 years, starting from age five. For me, learning a language is an adventure full of stories, games, and imagination.
I help children feel confident, joyful, and excited to explore Ukrainian. The best part of my day is seeing kids light up when they try something new or express themselves!
I also co-authored Easy Ukrainian Dialogues and love creating playful activities that make learning fun.

  • At the moment, our main format is 1:1 lessons, because children have different ages, levels, time zones and speaking confidence.
We do not run open group enrollments right now.
However, paired lessons may be available by request — for example, for siblings, cousins, close friends, or children who already know each other from kindergarten, school or the same community.
In this case, we first check the children’s age, level and schedule to make sure the format will be comfortable and effective for both.

  • You can start with a $1 Placement Lesson.
During this 30-minute lesson, your child meets a native Ukrainian teacher, tries the format, and we check their level, confidence and learning needs. After the lesson, parents receive a personal recommendation.

  • You don’t need to choose it on your own.
We start with a $1 Placement Lesson, understand your child’s level and needs, and then recommend the best 1:1 learning path.
